API671 (Ed’n 3) definition

2. In accordance with API671, a minimum
service factor of 1.5 is recommended.

3. API671 defined peak torque capacity is
1.35x continuous rating.

4. API671 defined momentary torque
capacity (or SCT) is 1.9x continuous
rating.
 5. Maximum speed is for units in standard
materials and to standard dimensions.
Increased speeds may be possible for
specific applications.

6. Maximum bores assume hydraulic fit
standard boss:bore ratio of 1.5.
 7. Reduction in mass will normally be
possible, if required, using standard
design modifications.

8. Values are calculated using a DBHF of
460mm and are shown for the between
hub faces only (i.e. excluding hubs).
